SUMMARY:Winemaker's Dinner Featuring Pomum Cellars & Idilico Wines
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an unforgettable winemaker’s dinner\, hosted by Della Terra and Pomum Cellars/Idilico Wines. \nOur multi-course chef’s tasting dinners feature the finest and freshest ingredients of the moment from the local harvest. Savor the local flavors with carefully created dishes\, in a seasonal and local tasting menu created by Della Terra Chef/Owner Cody Castiglia. \nThe five course meal will be paired with Pomum Cellars and Idilico Wines\, selected and served by the winemaker\, Javier Alfonso. \nStay tuned for menu and wine pairing updates.\nTickets will go quickly\, act now to reserve your space! \nAbout Della Terra:\nFood\, From The Earth\nMeaning “from the earth”\, Della Terra ventures include catering\, cooking classes\, and events\, all staying true to the philosophy of using the best ingredients available from the local harvest. This allows us to be creative with the vast bounty we have available in the Northwest\, resulting in better tasting and better-for-you food that benefits the environment and the local economy. We source the majority of our ingredients from within the community from local farms and producers\, many of which are located just down the road in Snohomish and Woodinville. \nFor the full lineup of culinary events and cooking classes\, visit our events page -> dellaterra425.eventbrite.com \nAbout the Winemaker \n… \nPomum Cellars and Idilico Winery are owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Javier and Shylah Alfonso. Originally from the famed Ribera del Duero region in Spain\, winemaker Javier Alfonso is determined to showcase a true expression of wine grown in the unique viticultural areas in Washington State. We feel that these truly handcrafted wines are something special! \nIdilico is the only winery in Washington focusing exclusively on Spanish varietals grown in the unique Washington State vineyards. Spanish varietal wines are the most pleasurable wines around. Who doesn’t love a deep and structured Tempranillo\, a juicy and luscious Garnacha or a steely acid driven Albariño? \nWashington vineyards are ideally suited to grow the finicky Spanish cultivars. Contrary to popular belief\, wine regions in Spain are not balmy and endlessly sunny. In fact most top growing regions in Spain best resemble Washington State. Dry desert conditions\, scorching day time temperatures with huge temperature swings at night all wrapped up in a short growing season and frosty winters.
