SUMMARY:Hops on the Rock: Orcas Island Beer Fest
DESCRIPTION:Taste your favorite microbrews\, explore new ones\, and hobnob with brew folk at the Orcas Island Beer Fest. More than a dozen small artisan breweries from around the Northwest will tap their kegs under a heated tent on Prune Alley (so named for the historic fruit orchards that used to stand on this site) in the heart of the charming village of Eastsound on Orcas Island. There will be tasty local food to catch all that delicious beer and live music to sip too. \nThe Hops on the Rock festival is literally shutting down the streets of Eastsound to host a weekend of drinking\, dancing and NovemBEER events all across  Orcas Island. Live music\, local food\, and 20+ local breweries from around the region will be in attendance for a destination beer festival like no other. Breweries attending will include Aslan\, Georgetown & Black Raven Brewing – among others – who will be showcasing their talents alongside local chefs and the sounds of Bellingham’s hometown heroes\, Babycakes.

DESCRIPTION:Live Music w/ Scott Lindenmuth!\nSat November 2nd\n3-5pm\nGard Vintners Woodinville \nNo Cover\nAll ages welcome! \n“Scott Lindenmuth is a guitarist with few boundaries. He has been described as “One of the Pacific Northwest’s greatest instrumentalists” and a “Genre-crossing virtuoso”. Whether performing with his contemporary instrumental group the Scott Lindenmuth Group\, playing jazz standards and originals with the Scott Lindenmuth Trio\, or performing as a solo classical guitarist\, Lindenmuth is expanding his reputation as a cutting edge composer\, creative and intuitive improviser\, and master technician. A master of many styles Seattle guitarist Scott Lindenmuth is one of the few guitarists in the world today that can easily transition from jazz to electric blues\, classical to rock\, funk\, and fusion displaying fluid technique and virtuosic ability in all genres. His list of influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Wes Montgomery\, Andres Segovia to Pat Metheny. As a composer he has released four albums of original compositions with his group which received rave reviews in major publications including Down Beat\, Guitar Player\, Guitar World and Jazziz. They have been featured on radio stations throughout the U.S.\, with sales in countries around the world. He has also composed many compositions for solo guitar. Scott Lindenmuth is regular performer on the Pacific Northwest music scene and has appeared at the regions top venues for live music . With a growing international following Scott Lindenmuth’s web sites received over 1.6 million web hits worldwide in 2017. Known in the ’80s and ’90s as the go-to guitar instructor in the Northwest his students include a who’s who of famed Seattle area guitarists performing in bands such as Nirvana\, Soundgarden\, Rail\, Metallica\, Tom Waits\, Metal Church\, Sanctuary\, Alan White\, and the Gothard Sisters. Recently Lindenmuth’s students filled the guitar chair in the 2010 and 2012 Washington Music Educators Association All-State Jazz Band. From 1975 to 1979 Lindenmuth attended the Cornish College of the Arts studying with Gary Peacock\, Jim Knapp\, Ian Drummond\, Don Mock\, and Bern Herbolsheimer. Whether performing with his contemporary instrumental group the Scott Lindenmuth Group\, playing jazz standards and originals with the Scott Lindenmuth Trio\, or performing as a solo classical guitarist\, Lindenmuth is expanding his reputation as a cutting edge composer\, creative and intuitive improviser\, and master technician. A master of many styles Seattle guitarist Scott Lindenmuth is one of the few guitarists in the world today that can easily transition from jazz to electric blues\, classical to rock\, funk\, and fusion displaying fluid technique and virtuosic ability in all genres. His list of influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Wes Montgomery\, Andres Segovia to Pat Metheny. As a composer he has released four albums of original compositions with his group which received rave reviews in major publications including Down Beat\, Guitar Player\, Guitar World and Jazziz. They have been featured on radio stations throughout the U.S.\, with sales in countries around the world. He has also composed many compositions for solo guitar. Scott Lindenmuth is regular performer on the Pacific Northwest music scene and has appeared at the regions top venues for live music . With a growing international following Scott Lindenmuth’s web sites received over 1.6 million web hits worldwide in 2017. Known in the ’80s and ’90s as the go-to guitar instructor in the Northwest his students include a who’s who of famed Seattle area guitarists performing in bands such as Nirvana\, Soundgarden\, Rail\, Metallica\, Tom Waits\, Metal Church\, Sanctuary\, Alan White\, and the Gothard Sisters. Recently Lindenmuth’s students filled the guitar chair in the 2010 and 2012 Washington Music Educators Association All-State Jazz Band. He’s a Winner of a number of Bass Awards\, most recently Winning the “2018 Seattle Sound Music Awards” in the “Best Band” category. “E” has toured the US\, Europe and Asia\, sharing the stage with and opening for artists and groups such as B.B King\, Gerald Albright\, Norman Brown\, Brian Bromberg\, Michael Manring\, Norm Stockton\, Doug Johns\, Jeff Scheetz\, The Scorpions\, Tony Macalpine\, Paul Stanley of KISS\, Paul Reed Smith\, Brett Michaels of Poison\, Miles Davis Tribute Group “Miles & Miles” Greg Howe & Sir-Mix-Alot. He was one of two bassists contacted by Vernon Reid to fill the open bass position for the band “Living Colour”. “E” has conducted Bass Clinics\, Seminars and Dealer Training sessions from Coast to Coast and abroad for companies such as KORG USA\, Ashdown Amplification\, Warwick Basses\, Spector Basses\, Bartolini Pickups\, and DR Strings.
