SUMMARY:East Ballard Parade O' Pints
DESCRIPTION:Lucky Envelope Brewing\, Obec Brewing\, Populuxe Brewing\, Reuben’s Brews and Stoup Brewing are excited to announce the first annual St. Pat’s Parade O’ Pints\, a neighborhood celebration of St. Patrick’s day featuring specialty beers\, commemorative glassware\, t-shirts\, food trucks\, live entertainment\, & fun! \nWhile not literally a parade\, these breweries invite revelers to enjoy unique festivities at each of the five tap rooms in the Gilman Park Neighborhood. All five breweries will have commemorative pint glasses and t-shirts available for sale. Individual activities range from Seattle Firefighter’s Pipes & Drums at Stoup Brewing to Irish Karaoke at Populuxe. Here’s the complete list of offerings at each location: \n  \nLucky Envelope Brewing \nBeers: Irish Lager – 5.1% ABV – Irish lager brewed with Skagit Valley Malting Talisman malt and flaked corn. The beer has a toasty\, slightly roasty malt flavor from the heirloom UK-based malt. Corn adjunct lends a clean crisp finish. \nIrish Red Ale – 5.5% ABV – A velvety smooth and highly-drinkable Irish-style red ale. It is malt-forward with toasted bread notes with a light chocolate finish. \nFood Truck: SoSo Good \n  \nObec Brewing \nBeer: Dry Irish Stout – Our dry Irish stout has a soft\, smooth body and a full roasted barley nose. Light caramel and coffee favors give way to a subtle smoked and roasted malt character. It clocks in at a sessionable 4.2% ABV\, perfect for lively debates over the merits of Beckett’s use of long run-on sentences. \nFood Truck: BAKED! Fully loaded baked potatoes \n  \nPopuluxe Brewing \nBeer: Soda Bread Stout – 4.5% ABV\, 30 IBU – Dark and roasty\, with creamy chocolate and coffee notes\, this is a classic example of a Dry Irish Stout.  Brewed to traditional session strength and served on nitro for an easy drinking\, deceptively light beer in spite of it’s full-bodied nature. Get a taste of the Emerald Isle right here in the Emerald City! \nFood Truck: Peasant Food Manifesto featuring Irish Tacos made with corn beef and cabbage. \nEntertainment: Live music by husband and wife duo\, The Blaas 4-5:30 pm. They will play an acoustic mix of  of Irish tunes – reels\, jigs\, polkas\, and waltz followed by: \nBaby Ketten Karaoke the Celtic Way 7pm – 11pm–  $1/beers for any singer who performs a song by an artist of Irish descent (i.e. Sinead O’Connor\, Shane McGowan\, the Cranberries – no Enya please). \n  \nReuben’s Brews \nBeers: Nitro Dry Stout -This quintessential Irish style uses a dark\, roasty malt to give a relatively bitter and dry finish. The nitro pour provides a nice creaminess to the taste.  \nIrish Blood English Heart – This beer derives its name from a much beloved song by a musician who was born in England to Irish parents. This beer uses an Irish yeast strain\, which provides bright\, fruity notes on an English Brown malt bill. The result is a delicious\, drinkable brown ale.  \nIrish Red – This deep reddish Amber provides the perfect balance between the caramel malts\, fruity Irish yeast\, and bitterness.  \nFood Truck:  Cheese Wizards \nEntertainment: (ALL DAY): We will have the back of the brewery open\, so there will plenty of space to enjoy your beers out back with some upbeat\, fun Irish music playing.  \n  \nStoup Brewing \nBeer: Extra Loud Stout – 4.7% ABV 36 IBU – Roasted Barley gives this highly quaffable\, dark brew its distinctive flavor and dry finish. The beer is balanced with a hint of bittersweet chocolate and a rich\, smooth creaminess from oat malt and a nitrogen pour. \nFood Truck: Napkin Friends serving up corned beef & cabbage between two latkes \nEntertainment: Seattle Firefighter’s Pipes & Drums\, the beer’s namesake\, will be playing in the tap room from 5-6pm. \n  \nLucky Envelope\, Obec Brewing\, Populuxe Brewing\, Reuben’s Brews and Stoup Brewing are independently owned\, craft breweries and taprooms in the Gilman Park neighborhood of Seattle\, Washington\, just east of the Ballard Bridge. \nLucky Envelope Brewing is located at 907 NW 50th Street – Seattle\, WA 98107.  Open W-Th\, 3-9pm\, Fri-Sat\, 12-10pm and Sun 12-9pm.  For more information\, visit www.luckyenvelopebrewing.com or call (206) 659-4057 \nObec Brewing is located at 1144 NW 52nd Street – Seattle\, WA 98107.  Open W-F\, 4-10pm\, Sat 12-11pm & Sun 12-9pm. For more information\, visitwww.obecbrewing.com or call (206) 659-0082. \nPopuluxe Brewing is located at 826 NW 49th Street – Seattle\, WA 98107.  Hours are M-Th 3-9pm\, Fri 3-10pm\, Sat 12-10pm and Sun 12-9pm.  For more information\, visit www.populuxebrewing.com\, or call (206) 706-3400. \nReuben’s Brews is located at 5010 14th Avenue NW – Seattle\, WA 98107.  Open 7 days a week from 11am-11pm. For more information\, visitwww.reubensbrews.com\, or call (206) 784-2859. \nStoup Brewing is located at 1108 NW 52nd Street – Seattle\, WA 98107 and is open M-Th 3-9pm\, Fri.3–10pm\, Sat 12-10pm and Sun 12-9pm. For more information\, visit www.stoupbrewing.com\, or call (206) 457.5524.

SUMMARY:Baker's Dozen Coffee Beer & Doughnut Fest
DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Annual Baker’s Dozen is Portland’s\, and the world’s\, only coffee beer and doughnut festival. It features three things Portland does best: beer\, coffee\, and doughnuts. Portland is home to several dozen craft breweries and independent roasters so the marriage of the two made in hoppy\, caffeinated heaven. Those results then pair hedonistically with doughnuts. Mix’n’match; no single coffee beer is designed to complement any particular doughnut. The festival this year moves to Ecliptic Brewing (825 N. Cook St.) on Sunday\, March 11\, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year the event sold out in advance and tickets are limited to 500 (to ensure attendees can sample everything) and are available for $28 ($33 at the door if available) at Merctickets.com/go/BakersDozenPDX \nPaid admission includes samples of every unique coffee-infused beer and delectable doughnut morsel (most will be quartered). Each beer incorporates a different local roaster’s beans. Brewers excel at experimenting with base styles on which to layer coffee notes over\, ranging from traditional stouts and porters to cream ales and a rauchbier. The line-up this year features mostly Portland breweries but also a beloved one from Corvallis and two from Washington: \n54-40\, featuring BadBeard’s Microroastery making a coffee stout \nBaerlic\, featuring neighbors Cellar Door Coffee \nBlock 15\, f/ Bespoken\, with the VERY LAST Cosmic Cold Brew series keg: Maple Cream \nCoalition f/ Seven Virtues: a CBD and coffee infused rauchbier: Wake an’ Bacon \nCulmination f/ Ole Latte\, because the original host venue has a permanent slot at Baker’s Dozen \nEcliptic f/ Black Rose\, can’t wait to see what the host brewery conjures up. \nFremont with the rare and covetable Coffee Cinnamon B-Bomb. \nHopworks\, TBD \nMcMenamins Crystal f/ McMenamins Coffee: Speedwolf stout aged in Hogshead Whiskey barrel \nMigration f/ Coco Donuts. Yes\, this staple of the fest on the doughnut side makes their own coffee. \nModern Times PDX f/ Modern Times Coffee: Not from San Diego; this one’s brewed #inPDX \nWayfinder f/ Water Avenue Coffee: Espresso Pilsner \nWidmer Bros. Innovation Brewery\, TBD \nThe doughnut lineup is still being fine-tuned\, but it will be a delectable mix of old favorites and some new purveyors of tasty morsels. \nAs an all-ages event\, a portion of the proceeds will again go to Friends of the Children\, Portland providing commitment assistance to at-risk youth. \nPertinent links: Ticketing Merctickets.com/go/BakersDozenPDX ($28 online\, $33 at the door if available) \nFacebook: Facebook.com/BakersDozenPDX \nTwitter: @BakersDozenPDX. \nVisit Ecliptic Brewing online at EclipticBrewing.com or\, y’know\, in person at 825 N Cook St.
