This year’s event will feature over 150 ciders\, meads\, and cider cocktails including regional favorites and international classics\, from the industry’s leading cidermakers\, many of which will be on hand to inform and guide guests through the tastings. \nSeveral cidermakers will also be competing in the Oregon Fruit Products Fruit Cider Challenge\, creating pilot batch fruit ciders using Oregon Fruit Products puree. DESCRIPTION:Downtown Oregon City hosts a Fall Wine and Cider Walk 6-9pm Thursday\, September 26th\, celebrating harvest season and the fermented bounty of Pacific Northwest grapes and apples. After two consecutive sold out wine walks\, Downtown Oregon City Association (DOCA) is delighted to add local craft cider offerings to a curated selection of premium regional wines. \nThe fall walk begins in historic Liberty Plaza at 815 Main Street\, where participants receive a custom glass\, map and tasting list for their self-guided sip and stroll adventure. Fifteen downtown Oregon City businesses each host a local winery or cidery with a knowledgeable representative sampling unique offerings\, sharing details about their wine and cider production techniques and providing packaged bottle/can to-go sales. The walk spans five blocks of Main Street and Railroad Avenue. \nThe Fall Wine and Cider Walk is part of a quarterly sip and stroll series hosted in downtown Oregon City. Tickets are limited to 400 guests; $25 cost includes all samples and a keepsake glass. Tickets are available online. DOCA’s next sip and stroll is a Winter Spirits Walk featuring local distilleries\, held Thursday\, December 12th. The walk spans five blocks of Main Street and Railroad Avenue. \nThe Fall Wine and Cider Walk is part of a quarterly sip and stroll series hosted in downtown Oregon City.
