DESCRIPTION:WHAT:     \nAs part of Seattle Beer Week\, Lucky Envelope Brewing\, Populuxe Brewing\, Reuben’s Brews and Stoup Brewing are hosting the 2nd Annual Ballard Putt Putt & Brew Crawl to benefit Bellwether Housing\, on Sunday\, May 13th.  Proceeds will help furnish and outfit 40 apartments for families transitioning out of homelessness. \nThe entry fee of $40 per foursome includes a souvenir koozie for each player\, access to the awards ceremony and great prizes. Registration is currently open and available on a first-come\, first-served basis at each of the breweries. Teams must register in person at one of the four breweries. Each participating location can sign up to a maximum of 15 teams. \nTee time starts at 1 p.m. at the brewery where you registered. Holes of varying design and difficulty will be set up at each location. Reuben’s Brews will host the awards ceremony at 5 p.m. All score cards must be turned in by 4:30 p.m. to the scorekeeper at Reuben’s Brews. \nAwards and trophies will be presented for 1st Place Team\, 2nd Place Team\, 3rd Place Team and Best Team Costume. \nIn addition\, the breweries will be collecting donations of new household items. These can be dropped off at any of the four breweries up to one week before the event. And teams who outfit an entire apartment will have one stroke subtracted from their final score! \nThere will also be an opportunity to participate in a 50/50 raffle conducted by Bellwether Housing. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 at each brewery. The proceeds will be collected\, counted and brought to the awards ceremony at Reuben’s Brews. Guests can dance the night away to the live music from the band\, The Bavarian Beer Garden\, on May 12th from 6pm to 9pm and Colossal Boss on May 19th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Attendees can also compete in nightly stein holding competitions where they can compete for glory\, gift cards\, steins\, and lots of fun prizes. Attendance is free and open to all ages until 10 PM\, 21+ after 10 PM.

DESCRIPTION:Sisters Are Brewing It for Themselves: A beer fest featuring all women-brewed craft beer! \nThe fierce ladies of local breweries in Washington state brewed these on International Women’s Day. Come taste them all and mingle with the women in beer. \nThe beers and the festival all benefit the Pink Boots Society\, an organization that assists\, inspires and encourages women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education. (Anyone who makes part of their salary from the beer industry is invited to join.) \nTickets are $20 for 8 tastes and you’ll also have the option to purchase full pints from any of the participating breweries: \nElysian Brewing\nStoup Brewing\nFlying Bike Cooperative Brewery\nDirty Bucket Brewing Co.\nBale Breaker Brewing Company\nPacific Brewing & Malting Co.\nReuben’s Brews\nGeorgetown Brewing\nPicoBrew\nOptimism Brewing Company \nTukTuk Mobile Feast will be here serving up delicious Lao food that pairs well with any beers. \nWe hope you can join us for an evening of good vibes and great beers! SUMMARY:Fuji to Hood: Portland/Japanese Beer Festival
DESCRIPTION:On Sat. April 21st the Fuji to Hood beer festival will debut ten beers and one cider brewed in a cross continental collaboration between Japanese and Portland brewers/cidermakers. Each of these beers/cider were a collaboration between a Portland and Japanese maker and feature atleast one unique Japanese ingredient\, all of which will be on tap at the festival with each Japanese brewer in attendance. Today organizers are excited to announce the beer list for the first time with descriptions below. \nFuji to Hood has teamed-up for the food portion of the event with local Japanese culinary masters Marukin Ramen and Bamboo Sushi to offer small plates for festival attendees. Each will offer their own menu for an additional price. \nFest goers may enjoy traditional Japanese Taiko drumming at 2 and 3pm with 15 minute sets by Portland Taiko. \nOregon’s own SakéOne will showcase locally made Sake’s at no cost to festival goers and is a proud sponsor of the Fuji to Hood festival. \nTickets are $25 and include a limited edition branded Fuji to Hood glass and 12 drink tickets good for 4oz pours of the beers.
