Tulalip WA — Tulalip Resort Casino Sommelier Tom Thompson invites whiskey worshipers and novices to come tasting with him at 6 pm on Friday, August 25 at The Draft Sports Bar and Grill Patio for his first annual Taste of Tulalip All-American Mash Up. It’s going to be a remarkable day of Southern inspired food, fun, and entertainment, with some exceptional whiskeys to knock back.

“In the tradition of Taste of Tulalip and for this special evening, Chef de Cuisine Brent Clarkson and Sous Chef Susan Jensen from The Draft Sports Bar and Grill are teaming up for a fun culinary experience to match Tom Thompson’s exclusive list of whiskeys,” states Executive Chef Perry Mascitti. “We invite all Mash Up goers to The Draft Sport Bar Patio to enjoy multiple food stations serving Southern inspired creations from America’s legendary whiskey regions.”

Try a dram (a shot of the kind of whiskey you’re not supposed to shoot) from over 36 different top-notch, barrel-aged American whiskies while nibbling on seductive small bites from Executive Chef Perry Mascitti’s culinary team. Edible selections include: Whiskey Peach BBQ Chicken, Catfish Ceviche, Swine Apple Beef Skewers, and Boozie Rainier Cherries. Throughout the evening, guests are invited to have fun creating their own food and whiskey pairings.

Mash Up goers will get the chance to sample pours from high-end distilleries, including the greats like Vermont’s Whistle Pig to Kentucky’s elusive Pappy Van Winkle and Old Forrester’s “Birthday Bourbon.”

“Come take the chance to party all night with top-notch whiskies, soulful southern inspired dishes, and hot tunes that are all blended together to take Mash Up to a whole new level,” shares Sommelier Tom Thompson.
