Wine lovers are invited to celebrate the Summer Solstice at a party in the vineyard with the winemakers and growers of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA.  This premier event will feature a pig roast, bonfire, and live music, as well as a silent auction and great local wines poured by the winemakers on Saturday, June 17 at 6 p.m. at Legacy Vineyard, 1600 Oak Grove Rd., Salem 97304.

The $75 per person ticket price also includes a Solstice Weekend Tasting Pass for special flights on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., at 20 participating wineries. So come Sunday of the Solstice Wine Weekend, you can purchase the wine you tasted and loved at the Saturday event while visiting the winery that made it.

The Eola-Amity Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA), located in Yamhill and Polk counties, is one of Oregon’s unique wine growing areas, approved by the United States Department of Treasury, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in 2006.  The Eola-Amity Hills Winegrowers Association was established in 2008 to promote and advance the AVA, its grapes, wines and visitor experiences. The Association now has over 120 members including wineries, vineyards, and supportive local businesses.
