June is pollinator awareness month. Honey bees and other pollinators are the “secret superheroes” of the culinary world. One in every three bites of food we eat relies on honey bees and pollinators, but the bee population is in decline. Tom Douglas Restaurants is partnering with Whole Kids Foundation in its effort to bring 50 educational beehives to schools across the country.

On Thursday, June 21, Jackie Cross will host a fundraising dinner featuring a bee-inspired menu at the Hot Stove Society. Guest will watch as chefs prepare dishes in the Hot Stove society test kitchen for this collaborative dinner event. The evening also features a “Honey Bee Good” cocktail and wine pairings.
