Classic Wines Auction Presents Corks + Forks To Benefit Local Charities

On June 8, Portland nonprofit brings together more than 30 local restaurants

and wineries for the ultimate urban tasting experience

Classic Wines Auction, recognized as one of Wine Spectator’s top ten charity wine auctions, announces its Corks + Forks urban tasting event will take place at Castaway on June 8 in benefit of the organization’s five charity partners. More than 30 local restaurants and wineries will band together to eat and drink for good.

“From authentic Spanish cuisine to Northwest seafood and barbeque, we are thrilled to host a cultural experience,” said Classic Wines Auction executive director Heather Martin. “Participants can try delicious bites from Portland’s hottest restaurants and sip pours from the area’s best wineries, with all proceeds benefitting our five amazing nonprofit partners.”

Proceeds from Corks + Forks will support Metropolitan Family Service (MFS), YWCA Clark County, Friends of the Children, New Avenues for Youth and Unity Center for Behavioral Health.

Corks + Forks will take place at the Pearl District’s Castaway, located at 1900 18th Ave., from 5:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 and can be purchased by visiting the Corks + Forks website. They will also be sold at the door for $60.

Throughout the year, Classic Wines Auction hosts a number of events in support of its nonprofit partners, including:

• Oregon Polo Classic: July 22 – 23
• Fall Winemaker Dinner Series: Nov. 14 – 16
• Spring Winemaker Dinner Series: Feb. 20 – 22, 27 – 28, March 1, 2018
• Classic Wines Auction and NIGHTCAP: March 3, 2018
