SEATTLE, WA (October 12, 2016) – Tickets are now on sale for City Fruit’s 6th Annual Cider Taste fundraiser on Thursday, November 10th at AXIS Pioneer Square (308 First Avenue S). Tickets are limited and must be purchased online at cityfruit.org/cidertaste.

All tickets include the event passport, souvenir glass, tastes from Washington cideries, and specially crafted and paired plates using the finest local produce. Cider cocktails will round out the evening.

Participating cideries include Alpenfire Cider, Tieton Cider Works, Snowdrift Cider Co., Finnriver Cidery, Whitewood Cider Co., Dragon’s Head Cider, Schilling Hard Cider, Seattle Cider Co., Nashi Orchards, and Woodinville Ciderworks.

This evening’s chef lineup features Lisa Dupar (Pomegranate Bistro), Renee Erickson (The Whale Wins), Tamara Murphy (Terra Plata), Holly Smith (Cafe Juanita), and Rachel Yang (Revel).  Each chef will create small plate pairings to accompany the ciders. The evening will also feature a live auction, photo booth, and cider store!

All funds raised support City Fruit’s 2017 harvest and provides fresh, local fruit to over 50 food banks, meal programs, and homeless shelters. The evening makes a critical difference in our ability to harvest fruit, build community, and fight hunger. Fruit donated from City Fruit travels fewer than five miles and reaches thousands of families each year. This year, City Fruit is celebrating the harvest of more than 46,000 pounds of fruit – another record breaking year for the organization!
